During October  2002, from the 11th to 13th, the Neanderthal Museum in Mettman, near Düsseldorf, Germany, organised an International conference with the title: "Cave art and space: Archaeological and architectural perspectives". Most fascinating were the many positions and views provoking each other mutually in contradicting discussions, but which were inspiring in regard to new perspectives. The corresponding book was edited by Andreas Pastoors and Gerd-C. Weniger and published in spring 2003.The titles of the contributions can be found in the contents enclosed (pdf formate).

Im Oktober 2002 organisierte das Neanderthal Museum in Mettmann bei Düsseldorf eine internationale ,Konferenz mit dem Titel: Höhlenkunst und Raum: Archälogische und architektonische Perspektiven. Das Spannende an der Veranstaltung waren die recht heterogenen Positionen und Blickwinkel, die herausforderten, teilweise  aufeinandertrafen,  sich aber wohl  auch gegenseitig mit neuen Einsichten befruchteten. Das zugeordnete Buch wurde iherausgegeben von Andreas Pastoors und Gerd.C. Weniger und ist im Frühling 2003 erschienen. Die Titel finden sich beiliegend im Inhaltsverzeichnis (pdf-Format).
